CCCEI 10-Outlet Garage Power Strip Review: The Yellow Workshop Workhorse
Two years of yellow CCCEI 10-outlet garage power strip mounted on my workshop wall powering a tool chest, battery chargers, and everything else.
The yellow CCCEI heavy-duty power strip on my garage wall is the reason my tool chest and battery chargers all stay plugged in at the same time. It has been there for two years. It still works. There is not much more to say, except: yes, I would buy it again.
Grade: A—if you want a yellow, garage-mounted strip with ten outlets and a long cord.

I bought the CCCEI heavy-duty power strip with USB ports, the 10-outlet garage-mount version in yellow. I am not reviewing a different cord length, a different color, or the older non-USB CCCEI strip. If you are shopping for a similar product, look at the listing you are buying from and confirm it is the yellow, 10-outlet, 10-ft version with USB ports.
Living with it
The strip is mounted on my garage wall above my tool chest. It is plugged into the wall outlet, the 10-foot cord reaches the spot on the wall where I wanted it, and the outlets face out where I can reach them.
The reason I bought a heavy-duty strip in the first place was the tool chest. A tool chest has battery chargers, sometimes a stereo or a radio, and a few extra outlets for power tools when they need a charge. Between the tool chest and the battery chargers and “lots of other things” I plug in around the garage, the normal two-outlet wall receptacle is not enough. The CCCEI gives me ten outlets in one strip, plus a couple of USB ports for charging phones and small devices. That is the whole problem it solves, and it solves it.
In two years of use, I have charged every battery I own off of this strip. Drill batteries, impact-driver batteries, lawn-tool batteries, rechargeable AA and AAA batteries, the lot. I have plugged in my tool chest, my bench light, and various other things as needed. The strip has held up. Nothing has tripped. Nothing has melted. Nothing has gotten hot.
The 10-foot cord was a real reason I picked this exact model. My garage outlet is not where my tool chest is. The 10 feet let me put the strip exactly where I needed it, mounted on the wall above the bench, instead of rearranging the whole garage to be near an outlet.
The strip is yellow. That sounds like a small detail, but in a garage with tools, lumber, and dim lighting, the yellow color is easy to spot. You are not going to lose it, and you are not going to forget it is there.
What I like
- Ten outlets and two USB ports in one strip. That is the headline feature, and it is the reason it exists.
- 10-foot cord reaches where I needed it. I did not have to reorganize the garage to be near the wall outlet.
- Mounts on the wall. The strip has hanging holes on the back, so it sits flat against the wall above the tool chest instead of lying on the bench.
- Yellow is easy to see in a garage. A small thing, but in a busy workshop it is the kind of detail that matters.
- Two years of constant use and nothing has gone wrong. No tripped breaker under normal use, no melted plugs, no failures.
- Surge protector built in. The listing rates it at 2700 joules. I have no surge event to test it against, but it is there.
What annoys me
- Ten outlets do not add electrical capacity. The strip is rated for 15 amps at the wall. If I tried to run ten high-draw tools at once, I would still trip the circuit. I do not, because I do not need to, but it is worth knowing.
- The 2700-joule rating is the listing’s claim, not a lab measurement. I have not stress-tested it. Treat the number as what the seller says it is.
- The outlets do not all fit bulky plugs. A few of them are wide-spaced specifically so large adapters can sit next to each other, but some ordinary wall warts still cover the next outlet. Plug thoughtfully.
- It is a corded strip, not a wall tap. If you just want to add two outlets to a single duplex receptacle, this is overkill. A wall tap is the right tool for that job.
- No safety listing was visible to me on the Amazon page. I have not opened the unit to check the nameplate, and the listing does not advertise UL or ETL on the product details. I trust the strip because I have used it without incident, not because I have a certificate.
Who it is for, and who should skip it
If you have a garage or workshop with one wall outlet and you need ten, this is the right tool. If you have a tool chest, a battery-charger habit, and a long way between your outlet and your bench, the 10-foot cord and the wall-mount format make this very easy to live with.
Skip it if you only need to add a couple of outlets to a kitchen counter. The yellow, heavy-duty, 10-ft format is wrong for that job. A wall-tap surge protector (smaller, white, no cord) is the right product there. I have reviewed one of those separately.
Verdict
Two years of garage use, ten outlets, ten-foot cord, yellow, mounted on the wall, everything still works. That is the review.
Grade: A—if you want a yellow, garage-mounted strip with ten outlets and a long cord. Buy the linked listing if your use case matches mine.

Ten outlets on one strip do not increase the capacity of the wall circuit behind it. The strip is rated for 15 A total. If the combined draw of everything plugged into the strip exceeds 15 A, the breaker trips, just like it would from a single wall outlet.
The 2700-joule surge rating is the listing’s claim. I have not tested the strip against a surge event. Treat the number as the manufacturer’s claim, not an independent measurement.
I could not find a UL or ETL listing visible on the Amazon product page for this exact ASIN. I am not claiming the strip is certified or uncertified. Anyone buying a strip for a workshop should check the unit’s nameplate for the certification mark that applies to their local code.
The 10-foot cord was the practical reason I picked this exact SKU over a shorter version. A 6-foot or 15-foot cord of the same product would work differently in my garage.
